Here it is, two months after the move, and where are we now? Well, everything is long since unpacked and put away. The dining room is still on the sparse side, as the antique table that I’ve been in the process of refinishing is taking quite a bit more effort to strip, sand, varnish, cure and seal than I had initially anticipated. I hope to have it finished within the next week or two so that we can eat a proper, civilized meal and have a place to work on craft projects.
I’m still in the process of looking for work, and meeting the residence and license requirements to get my massage therapy license in Wisconsin. My goal is to be fully licensed by Christmas, and hopefully before. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of work to be done on wedding related activities, and I’ve had the opportunity to finish up many craft projects that I’ve had sitting aside, unfinished.
We also have a new family member to introduce! After a great deal of debate (and a little coercion, I’m not ashamed to say), we went for a drive and returned with a little ball of fur named Mowgli. Mo is a one year old, butterscotch colored shorthair kitty. Shorthair is a little misleading though, because he’s already managed to shed on everything, and he’s barely left the bedroom. Pictures will be forthcoming as soon as he’s comfortable enough in his new environs to stop hiding.
